Fishing Vessels
Introducing the Laughing Raven Lodge's newest fishing vessel.
~F/V Murrelet~
F/V Murrelet is a 2001 31' Albin TE, she has a fully enclosed wheelhouse with ample seating for all, top of the line electronics including radar, GPS, fish-finder, auto-pilot, sattelite radio, and more. The large flush deck cockpit has a transom gate door for easy boarding, live-bait well and fish boxes built into the transom, rod holders, fresh and salt water wash downs in the cockpit. There is a fully enclosed head with seperate stall shower, fresh water supply with hot water heater, galley V-berth and aft double berth.
We are very excited to welcome the Murrelet to our fishing operation in Port Alexander. She will give us years of excellent service with comfort that our guests have come to expect at the Laughing Raven Lodge.
Captain
Ryan Martin has been fishing the local waters around Baranof Island
for 20 years, is a certified naturalist and PADI instructor.
He has been the Laughing Raven’s fish-master since 1999.
~F/V Molly O'~
The Molly O, is a
fiberglass 29' C-Hawk. Molly O can quickly get you to
the fishing grounds where you can have your lines in the water
within minutes of leaving the dock. This fine boat provides
a roomy, safe, and stable fishing platform. It's warm
and cozy cabin is equipped with GPS, radar, color sounder,
underwater camera, CD player, and head.
The
Laughing Raven is also proud to provide lodge services for
a second local fishing guide each summer.
The
Bluejacket, skippered by Captain Peter
Mooney, is
a 50' steel ketch which has been commercially fishing in Alaska for
over 30 years, but has also sailed to the South Pacific.
She is fitted with three state rooms, two heads with hot
showers, and a cozy galley "on deck" which provides ideal
sight-seeing opportunities regardless of the weather.
